Hi Terry Pelt
Your email really rang a bell, as it was an elderly Duncan kiln I bought =
in the USA summer of 2004 as my first kiln back in the USA. I'd had =
these huge bells and whistles kilns in the UK which did everything from =
raise the damper and lower it when necessary, to create a firing ramp =
schedule for crystalline glazes. =20

Anyway, please describe the Duncan you've got -- dimensions height and =
width. Does it have a kiln sitter mechanism inside the kiln where you =
have to raise up a bar to lay across the two lower parallel bars the =
--for example <017> bar for a luster firing; and on the outside is =
there a lever which raises which seems to be secured down when the =
inside lever is put into position over the <017) bar for example? I'd =
be happy to take pixs and email this to you if necessary. It has been a =
proper little workhorse for me and is superb within the limits of the =
firing schedule. It's a super test kiln for many levels of firing. But =
as in any kiln and especially this elderly Duncan you have to watch the =
kiln carefully and not leave it whilst it's firing. =20
