Dear stephani stephenson,

Apart from the snippet about allowing the ingredients to stand in excess =
water or be blunged for a longer period I am unsure about the rest of =
the information Prof Carty gave you.

Are there any other details that might be useful. ?

I would agree with the Potters assessment. Clay that is allowed to age =
for some time has superior plasticity. But it has to be under conditions =
where the moisture content will remain constant.

Let us not forget the mining of clay in the Orient for future =
generations. Why did they do it?

Glad to know you h ad a wonderful time,

Best regards,

Ivor Lewis.
