updated fri 9 mar 07

Kathy McDonald on wed 7 mar 07

Lois I can identify,

I've started making beads and buttons to adorn my new
creations.

Kind of makes the fiber addiction justifiable..

and ..I've had several requests for the poncho pattern I
mentioned

Here's the link:

http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/chs-scallopEdgePoncho.html

The homespun wool works best ....I've done one in real
natural alpaca

usual disclaimers...
I'll try to post pictures to Photobucket if I can get my
daughter to
let her alpaca one be photoed.

Wait until you start hiding the yarn from your husband.
It's a sorry state
indeed. I have become positively addicted to luxury fiber.
I am constantly
looking for ways to incorporate it into my clay work.

Forever a materials person...lo

That's true. The only problem is that I got yarns all over
the place and
kids are getting entangled in them as they walk by. They
take a life onto
their own. Kathryn in NC

I've been having fun making felted bowls. They're easy and fast and I
can go wild with colors and fancy yarns. You can see them at
http://www.amherst.edu/~jkprice/feltingpage.html Now if only I could
find a way to combine clay and knitting.

Janet, Those are beautiful! Why not put a small ceramic bowl inside of
them? Or if you are giving the ceramics as gifts, why not knit/crotchet
a bag to put it in? Better than wrapping them and it's a double gift.
Warmly Kathryn in NC ---
