glass bottoms/idea

i have place on my website/clayart page..click below.

it is a flat plate/bowl with in/curved top.


i added clear glass from a good whine bottle, cracked
with some sprinkles of cobalt oxide.
when it melts it crackles really big.
slow cool.
cone 11...celedon glaze.
about 9 inches across.
a great kid project.
not for food...simply decorative pots.
makes good soap dish project.
this pot was made in 1969.

a young potter at nceca told me he invented
the process in 2002.
hmmm, i think not.
i just smiled and told him he was a genius.

Geez, If I knew it was as easy as melting glass in a pot to reach genius
status with you, I could have told you I invented it back in 1971.
