Hi Paul,
Is your book still on target to be released by NCECA? I am very much
looking
forward to owning a copy, preferably signed by you.

We are certainly planning on that. I have an advance copy and the
rest of them should be there. They're right now on the slow boat
from China. I will be signing them in the ACerS booth, and probably
in the Axner's booth as well, at some time during the conference. Or
whenever you want to flag me down.
The book, by the way, is "China Paint & Overglaze" published by
ACerS. There are even a few Clayart folks with work in the book. I
will also be leading a discussion group on china painting on Thursday
afternoon. Any of you who are curious about it, or have done any of
it, please drop in.

Paul,

Great news on the book.

Where are you scheduled to do the talk Thursday...... one of the NCECA
breakouts or at the CLAYART room?

It's one of the Topical Discussions on Thursday afternoon. You'll
have to choose between mine and Bonnie Hellman's group on tax
questions though.
By the way, John Baymore has one of only two brown pots in my book.
The other is by Shoji Hamada, and the rest is all flash.

Paul,

Thanks. I attended Bonnie's talk in the CLAYART room last year..... or
was it the year before...... so if I am able to make NCECA this year......
I'll see you at your session.

By the way, .... I don't make "brown pots"....... I make "color spectrumly
challenged vessels". .

best,

...............john
