Oh Dave, you're just no fun.

So, how are things going with you these days? I'm just about to drop
my clay and wheel for the nails and hammar. Oh boy, home improvement.

Dear Dave Finkelnburg ,,

No quarrel with your argument.

And without getting into deep semantics, "Hydration" has meanings that =
might cause problems if it is implied that there is chemical activity =
without explaining the process.. You quoted abstract seems to suggest =
that it is Silica that is responsible and that quality control is the =
way to circumvent the occurrence of moisture crazing. If that is the =
case, delayed quartz inversions are not unknown, nor is the cure. =
Moisture adsorption, except in cases where ice formation may be a =
factor, is a red herring.

Good to have your opinions.

Best regards,

Ivor Lewis.
