I see people are gleeful in finding wood ash. Can you share a ^6 glaze =
recipe?

Sue, I don't have a recipe yet. My purpose in using wood ash is
basically to make the clay in the sink trap shinier, after I test
them first.I call thses type of glazes "gloop", named after what a
creature in Heavy Metal Magazines ("the adult sci-fi mag")says alot,
sort of like a sheep. "Gloop, gloop!". I am also throwing in some
local earth dirt from the road to see what happens. All of it comes
out very dry and dear to my heart clayarters suggests wood ash. I've
found that when I posted a want ad in the Craig's list, I got alot of
responses, close enough for me to drive to.they didn't care why, just
grateful for someone to take it.the human nature are so willing to
share.I do have some recipes written down somewhere, and I will be
happy to post them when I find them. Warmest regards,Kathryn in NC---
