Hi NCECA-bound claybuds. SSSSSHHHHHH. Mel might be listening!!!!

Are we making bud vases galore for him to give him at NCECA? Is anyone going
to do this? I thought it was a great idea when first mentioned sometime ago.
If so, I want to get going on making some.
Let's do it!

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to all.

Hi Joyce, Veena, all...

I do hope the 'Pretzel Vase' form is not neglected
in the variety of ones presented......

These of course must be thrown extra 'tall' and
slender, in order ( while just thrown, and while
still pliable enough, ) to be brought into a
careful Knot some ways up, and to continue on from
there of course, straight-as-an-arrow...

Merry Christmas everyone!

Hey Veena..... yes, I'm making mine. Fun, too.

Odd thing is that I've always wanted to make pots
that were more gestural than mine are, ever....
gestural but not appearing contrived, that's what I
wanted! With
the advent of osteoarthritis ALL of my thrown pots are
gestural, like it or not.

I'm working on handbuilding
but I'm looking forward to putting a weird looking
(but dear to me) bud vase out there. I don't think
any other venue would appreciate them.

Thanks for the reminder.
