There is beauty within the functional. The Borg is a
representation of utility with no aesthetic sense. The Borg is a
metaphor for todays world of plastic, stainless steel and glass. The

Exactly. Work does not have to loose function or be made
dsyfunctional to be true to art.

Expansively functional is liberal. It minds the heart and reveals
the human touch.

Replace functional with strict art and you end up with
knicknacks, decoration and investment objects.

A Korean Ido tea bowl is ceramics at its highest level and
is the equal of any oil painting or sculpture. It doesn't loose
anything, just because you can make tea in it.
