I am sorry to let everyone know that David Hewitt of glaze technology fame died unexpectedly yesterday. I am sure that his wife, Elizabeth would like to hear from any of you who knew David. He will be sadly missed by all in South Wales Potters, UK.

How absolutely sad!

David had just updated his web site - a valuable resource!

Can you provide contact information - perhaps address - for his wife?

Avril:
Can you post an address where one might send a card?

David's lasting legacy as we know was in the technical aspects of glaze
materials in the ceramic arts. My momento is his well thought out glaze
calculation program. My condolences go to his wife.

Sincerely, Donald Burroughs
