Hello All!
Are there any experts out there that regularly fire anagama kilns? I was
wondering if I need to put any glaze on the inside of my mugs and bowls? I
have been invited to help with firing an anagama and have the opportunity
to put some pieces in the firing. If you can offer some advice in this area
I would love to hear from you!
thanks, Jeri Dopp

An easy one is equal parts by weight of Nepheline Syenite, Soda
Feldspar, and local clay, it's a raw glaze best applied to leather hard
clay.

Dear Steve,
I am going to be really busy trying out all the great liner glaze recipies
people have suggested to me! Thanks for the info, I'll let you know how
things turn out.
Just out of curiosity, what is it like in the UK this time of year? We are
having unusually balmy weather here in Wyoming for a change. I like it, but
I'm sure it is a worry for the ranchers as they won't have much grass this
summer without more moisture. We really need some snow!
Thanks for the liner glaze info, Jeri Dopp

Better Feast than famine with the recipes :-)

Weather here in Bath is wet (no surprise), a bit raw, but not actually
cold as such. It's been a bit windy recently, and some have suffered,
but not us so far.
Hopefully we'll have some cold weather after Christmas to kill off the
nasties and clean things up a bit.
I don't like mild winters, we've had too many recently, and the damp
gets into my soul!!
