Thank you Mel;

Once again for your insight of practicality and common sense. I have been involved in clay for about 12 years. I took classes from many great teachers. We are lucky in the Northeast to have access to some wonderful talented potters and schools. But, about six years ago, it dawned on me that I needed to start just making pots and looking at my own work, developing it. I go to many exhibits. I used to take hundreds of pictures. Try to duplicate work, not making my own. Now, I continue to look but also look at what I pass on a daily basis. AND, I am in my studio, making pots, working, thinking. As you say, it takes time.

Thank you for reminding us that in today's world we have access to probably too much information as an artist. We need to look within and just work.
