latex resist products

I guess the clayart archives are down for now. I tried a search
because I know that the subject of latex resist products has come up
in the past. I am looking for a latex product described by the
company as a carpet adhesive, but that some have used as a latex
resist. It comes in a quart size. Does anyone know this product and
where to get it. Thanks from

CC:
The archives are fine, but they are S-L-O-W!

Go here, and WAIT.
http://lsv.ceramics.org/scripts/wa.exe?S2=clayart&O=D&L=CLAYART&q=latex+resi
st&s=&f=&a=&b=

(The last characters in that URL are "...&b=", so make sure you have it all
if you're cutting and pasting.)

I know the product to which you refer. It is used to apply latex to the
back of carpeting for area rugs, comes in a liquid, and should be available
at any carpet store. We use it for floor cloths, and a bunch of other
things (don't ask, OSHA will have my head on a platter if I tell you. )

Best,
Wayne Seidl

I get mine from seattle pottery.I don't know if it is used on
carpets. Amaco in Indianaplois also sells it.
I think in the early 90s I may have gotten some from a car
pinstriping paint ship.

CC

I know that Lowe's & Home Depot both have it AND on Long Island in the
carpet section. I have purchased it in the Home Depot in Patchogue just
north of sunrise highway. Just go in and ask the carpet person for the
glue to stop area rugs from sliding.

Hope this helps

Nancy
