Greetings Friends and Colleagues....

We are pleased to announce the launch of terracotta magazine, an online quarterly oriented toward ceramics by artists of African descent. A pioneer publication, terracotta magazine is the only one of its kind in print or electronic format, to spotlight claywork by emerging and accomplished artists of African ancestry where ever they are. As an interdisciplinary journal, we are committed to expanding the discourse and our readership, by providing a unique global perspective on socially, culturally and economically relevant issues, while maintaining our primary role as a forum for historical and contemporary ceramics by African American artists.

On behalf of the journal's co-founder, Paul Andrew Wandless, I welcome you to the readership of terracotta magazine and invite you to both contribute and subscribe to future issues. The inaugural issue of terracotta magazine is available at www.terracottamag.com, at the introductory rate of $0!
