Hello friends.

Over the last 3 months an unusual event has come together in the
pottery community.
It is the "Extended Hands: A Show of Support" benefit.
Master potter Dick Lehman is experiencing a recurrence of a lymphoma
condition, and the chemotherapy and stem cell therapy treatments have
and will continue to severely limit his ability to produce any
pottery, and therefore threatens the existence of his studio and livelihood.
In an effort to lighten his load and create some cash flow, a small
group of potters & friends cooked up the idea of a benefit exhibition
that would exist simultaneously in his Goshen (IN) gallery, as well
as online to attract both his local clientele and customers from
farther afield. Anyone anywhere could purchase artwork generously
donated by some of the best and emerging talent in the field .
Thus, Extended Hands: A Show of Support was born, and beginning now
will be ready for pre-viewing.

Beginning the morning of Wednesday, November 1, all things will be
ready for active buying to generate income for Dick in this difficult
time.

More than 100 potters from across the United States and several
foreign countries have donated over 300 pieces of quality pottery and
sculpture, and some unusual miscellaneous items. The show resides at
Dick Lehman's Studio in Goshen, IN
(www.DickLehman.com - for location &
directions), as well as at the URL mentioned above. A tantalizing
variety of forms, techniques, and styles across a wide price range
are now available for your viewing.
All work is available for sale. A few of the pieces are of such
esteem that they will be for sale through an auction format
commencing November 1. Customers will transact their purchases by
calling Dick's studio and placing an order by phone. Credit card and
shipping information will be exchanged then.
This will be a terrific opportunity to do something very generous
while you add to your collection, buy a gift, or just feel good
pitching in. Please forward this email to anyone you think might be
interested in helping out as well.

Thanks,
Charlie Cummings
