Morning People,

Having a problem with very tiny bubbles in
a tenmoku base glaze. Same effect on stoneware
white stoneware, two porcelains, and fools gold,
all cone ten. Four firings all in @ ten hours,
(each). Slow cool. Recipe: Marks Temmoku base.

custer 45
silica 27
whiting 17
kaolin 11

RIO 1%,5%, 8%

The 8% applied thickly is an interestingly
deep glaze, The other two ...not so much.

Yes, I only bisque to 06 and will change that.
For some reason I thought the tighter bodys
with less iron and organic material would
show less outgassing. Perhaps thats not good
logic. I reciently read that wollastonite is
a workable cure for CaCo3 bubbling, and a
post in the archives had that reversed. I'll
get that one right in due time.

When I got to the post BUBBLES VERSES ETHYL
MERMAN...well I figured its time for bed.

Be Well,
Tom King
