Hello, guys,

Just loving this thread on bonding! Bonding at all levels.
I do really would love to have some opinions about the chemical/mechanical
bonding properties of clay as far as soft/leather/dry/bisque bonding
pieces!!!!
Any thoughts on the differences at these stages and the different
techniques? Just because at leather hard or bisqued, the pieces tend to have
shrunk it all, and the chances of the two pieces coming apart for shrinkage
difference is smaller. (or so I imagine).
Do you guys think there would be disavantages to attaching things leather
hard? ( I make mostly functional pieces and it gives me chills to think of a
handle coming apart).
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your thoughts. I am trying to find info about it in
the archives but I need to improve my seaching capabilities with the
engine...Any pointers would be wonderfull!!! I have a few teapots waiting
for the veredict....

Cheers from cloudy and cold (19oC) spring in São Paulo, Brazil. I am
trimming like crazy for christmas sales.

Dear Marek,

Now there is an interesting adhesive. Must be the most complex on =
brought to the table in this discussion.

No, I refuse to try and sort it out. Much too complex. Let Jim Murphy =
explain it for us.

My enjoyment of beverages alcoholic started to wane about fifteen years =
ago. A virus destroyed my olfactory sensitivity. Without that =
sensitivity beer becomes totally unpalatable and wine is either just =
sweet or sour, fizzy or plain wet. My Doc tells me there will never be =
an olfactory analogue of the cochlear implant.

Be Happy and enjoy the weekend.

Best regards,

Ivor
