Well my grandmother called me to tell me that all my bisqueware on my
shelves didn't move an inch! Thank God! That could have resulted in great
losses. I have to unload the kiln I just loaded and see if the greenware
shifted or broke and is on the elements though.

My husband moonlights at a grocery store and he went in early today and
called me and told me that the whole liquor aisle is on the floor, so that
is what he did today.

I have to call tomorrow and see if the landslides (2) are cleaned up enough
for me to go to school. Wonder how those shelves of ware fared?

A raku garlic keeper bounced across the living room, but was unharmed.

Shelves of groceries and books and the stereo came down and my husbands
computer went all over the place, monitor on the floor unharmed and cpu
moved two feet while my computer stayed put.

Our loss was an old turquoise glass from my husband's uncle that passed away
- irreplaceable.

Nice way to wake up, huh?

coast)

It is always good to hear all went better than most could hope for.

I don't suppose you could add the broken glass to a pottery piece?
Someone posted recently (I would have to go hunting for remember who) an
absolutely beautiful bear sculpture that had broken pieces of rocks,
glass, etc at the base of the piece (looked like a river with rocks that
the bear was standing in). I have also seen people fire glass in the
bottom of bowls.

Be well, Donna
