Phil, That was a very dispassionate rendering of the technical terms to fetus and neonate and what have you. I used to refer to my first pregnancy in pretty much the same way. "Is the fetus doing well? Is the fetus thriving?" And my surprise to find that there were two fetuses growing. "Ah, well, I'll deal with it when the time comes." They were still fetuses until I've discovered that both had died in-uterus. After that, all future pregnancies were not referred to blithely as fetus or placenta-dependant living organism or anything like that. They were my babies form the moment of conceptions.I'm not looking for sympathies here.shit happens and I happened to be the one of the many it happened to.all of this Noe-technical terms lead me to ask you this fundamental question-do you have children? If not, I can tell. If by the chance I'm wrong, then you need to look at the more emotional aspects of it Mercury poisoning doesn't affect just the mother. It affects all. It's a very
high emotional and monetary cost not just to the mother, but also to the father.Do you want to die young? I suspect not. Few of us do. so information such as this can benefit all. Incidentally, handling amphibians, especially iguanas and such like, can also "promote expulsion from the wombs'.they carry a bacteria that can promote that action. With warm regards, Kathryn in NC
