faeince, crystalline -- confused!

Hi all,

First, thanks for a great list in all sorts of ways. Secondly, I'm =
confused
and need some help here. I am enchanted by the sorts of glazes I see =
that I
would describe as micro-crystalline (as opposed to big, glossy =
crystals),
are matte and seem to flow a lot. For example, the glazes used by =
Ephraim
Faience Pottery at http://www.ephraimpottery.com. Everything I've found =
on
faeince indicates low-fire or the equivalent of majolica. Majolica, in =
my
na=EFve and limited experience is tin glazed low fire with on-glaze =
decoration
(which I've done some of). I'm trying to get into the ballpark here and =
am
searching for some glaze recipes to start testing with for the look of =
the
Ephraim glazes (and other examples of arts & crafts ware). Any =
direction
you can provide would be very appreciated, and I'll happily share the
results with anyone interested.

Thanks,

Robert =20
