Hey List,
For those interested, I've got pictures up from my first two days here at
the conference. I've never seen so many pots in my life. It was amazing.
There was probably double the amount of work than what was needed.
The kilns are all lit (except maybe the double wide train, it was still
being loaded when I left 4 hours ago).
Some of the kilns are really going, the single wide train was at cone 9 (in
about 22 hours) and when my shift was over, the double cantenary arch was at
2000degreesF.

I'll try to post some more in a few days. It's a bit hard as there's not
much free wifi in flagstaff.
Anyway, got to get back to fire the Naborigama for 4 hours.

Wow! The photos from the Woodfire Conference.......so many, if not all, would make incredible posters for studios...especially 988 jpg............those pots stacked in that kiln - just hugs my heart!!! Thanks so much for sharing.....inspiration abounds on clayart...can I get an AMEN to that?? LOL :)
Beth - about to become water-soaked with all that dried up clay to reconstitute. Thanks everyone for your wonderful advice!

The pictures are awesome! There is something so exciting about so
many people working for a common (or not so common) outcome! Thanks
for sharing.

Thanks BJ: The pics are great. Makes me wish that I could make it. Sounds
like you are having the time of your life. I can sense the woodfire energy
in your post. The urgent nature of woodfiring somehow made it through the
internet. When will they be unloaded, curious minds and all that.
Well, flame on and fire til the wood is gone.
