Karen,
Please e-mail me off list and I can give you some information about this. I
would be glad to. I entered this show two years ago and received the
honorable mention and the solo exhibition award.

Today, I've met with the owner of Stretch Gallery. His name really
is Stretch! He turns out to be someone I have met briefly several
years ago when the NCCEA had their show in Sharlotte, NC. The
gallery is wonderfully lit and I was really impressed wtih him. He
strike me as a dedicated person with a sincere desire to help other
artists. He knows several artists in town and is a very focus
man.I've already saw an artist's artwork from Mass. and it was
great. I think you will enjoy this very much. regards to all,

Karen, I like to thank you for mentioning Stretch Gallery. If you
haven't posted your question, I wouldn't have kown it was there.
Just finished teaching my first class there and it was a blast! The
students made better things than the demo I did. It's a totally
different clientle than what I'm jused to at a community center,
where I had to hold the hands of all each step of the way, every
single day, every single minute. Stretch (that's his name) bleieved
in pushing people off the ledge and force them to explore
themselves. You can only teach them so much, but it's so much better
for them to find out. sort of like throwing a non-swimmer into a
pool and watch them learn to swim. I love the artworks that's in the
gallery. With warm regards, Kathryn in NC who is just a tad too
happy today..--- In clayart@yahoogroups.com, Helen Bates
