websites on the mac

Hi all...

I just got myself caught up on the last 3-4 days of clayart (life was
nuts this weekend), and thought I'd throw out another FWIW note in
reference to the website thing, for those who use a mac.

For my day job (pays for the clay until the far distant day when the
clay will pay for itself) I do IT stuff, including website development.
But for a quick, easy to maintain site for my pottery, I threw together
a fairly full-featured site on our handy-dandy mac, using iWeb.
iWeb comes with Apple's iLife suite of tools (all extremely cool)
which runs around $100... I put the site together in just a couple of
days, and if you can use a computer you can use iWeb...totally
easy... when I open a kiln I shoot some digital pics, and throw them
up on the site. Apple offers a hosting service, but I chose to use
godaddy (in case I someday decide to put more time into the site
and use some of my Day Job Cold Fusion/Java skills-- although
who wants to program if you aren't getting paid for it...). For the
time being, iWeb is working really well for me.

Just another possibility/tool, for those in the Apple universe.
