If you are after quality clay, Lee's recommended method of mixing from
slip will in my experience yield the highest quality clay for throwing
and pulling handles, let alone the firing qualities. I have tried every
approach in my 49 year experience, and I am convinced that drying
blunged slip is the quietest and best way to arrive at quality clay.
