Hi all

I've been lurking recently, but now trying to get back to important matters like reading Clayart in more detail. Changed my email address for clayart use, because the spam in my aol account has been getting silly. AOL blocks quite a lot, but even so, it's a pain. Eventually I'll wind down that account and use a new address, but in the meantime this is my new clayart ID, and I'll just keep checking everything. I hate spammers.

Eyesight: I had a corneal graft operation done last week. Bionic woman - they had to replace my plastic lens which had slipped, and they did the graft. Lovely embroidery, and people can even see the teensy stitches if the light is in the right direction! I have to rest and take things easy for a few months, including - NO POTTERY. Eeeek.

Oh well, my plan is to read lots, because recently I have been going through one of those "dunno what to dooooooo" phases that happen every so often. I felt like a change of direction, maybe not quite such a dramatic change, but there it is. So, thanks to Clayart, I've been musing about Bonsai. Also musing about garden pots, jewellery, maybe tiles, mosaic. Lots of possibilities, not sure where I'll end up!

Anyone else ever had a corneal graft?

Anyone else used wonky pots smashed up to make a mosaic? If so, how do you deal with the curved pieces? Although, maybe it doesn't matter - I'm thinking of a wall panel anyway, no need for perfect level surface upon which to place one's delicate wineglass etc.

That's all folks, for now.

Off-list emails can still go to:

J e n n y L e w i s P o t s @@@@@ ay oh ell DDOOTT c o m

this is fun, I hope it really helps!

Ciao,

*-)
