opening archived clayart letters (outlook express)???

Hi...I am hoping someone else has figured out how to do what I'm trying =
to do...

I just got a new computer, so I copied a lot of saved Clayart mail to a =
CD. These are all .dbx files.

Now I am not able to view, or open any of them. Outlook express will =
only import from another e-mail program, as far as I can tell.=20

If anyone has gone down this path and figured it out , can you e-mail me =
off-list? I have XP home edition, and Outlook Express. I guess I could =
forget about all the Clayart letters-after all, we do have the archives, =
but I also have some family letters, etc, I'd like to save.=20

I know a slow way would be to forward these to myself, and open them w/ =
New computer. Old one is still hooked up.

Thanks
Ann Brink in Lompoc, spending way too much time w/computer =
lately....almost done transferring & installing stuff.

Don't know if this will work for you, but occasionally I'll get files from a
PC and can't open them on my Mac. Often I can open them by changing the end
name. Try changing the .dbx to .doc (designates Word document) or .rtf (rich
text format).

Here's a tutorial that covers several versions of Windows and Outlook
Express I believe.
