cabinet knobs, threaded inserts, where to get them

Bob,

I wrote yesterday that threaded inserts were available in the Axner
catalogue. But someone else wrote that it was the Aftosa catalogue.
They may have been right and I wrong. I'm always getting the two
mixed up in my head. Whoever it is that has them Axner or Aftosa, I
don't actually deal with them directly. Clay Art Center in Tacoma
will order for me and I save the freight from Florida or wherever...
Just last week I took delivery on 10,000 of them and I'll tell you
that's a lot of weight. Freight across the country wouldn't have
been cheap. Your local clay supplier may have a similar arrangement.

The thing that makes these inserts nicer for me than those I found
say at Reid Tool is that the insert is closed on the back side. For
my purposes, that makes gluing them up a simpler chore.

Michael, the Aftosa inserts also are closed on the back
side.
