thanks a bunch Phil and Tommy W for the info on Pearl Ash. I was able to
find a science store in SC that carried it and I did talk to a guy in Dallas
that gave me the main suppplier for the US and that was helpful. I woke up
this morning and thought I'd go shopping at the clay suppliers and found
Bailey Pottery Supplies carries it at $1.60 a lb. So it's ordered and I'm a
happy camper. Hopefully this will solve the problems I'm having with my ash
this year. The variablility is something I can't live with. the new
synthetic version is the pearl for this clam.
