I realize this is not clay-related, but if our moderators will allow this
through, I wonder if anyone can help with advice on the redeye feature on
Photoshop Elements.

I have a very old version, probably the first, as it has no number, and there
is a great feature for getting out redeye by just pointing the tool on the
redeye and applying it several times in fine dots to get out the redeye. My
daughter has Photoshop Elements 4, and the redeye just does not seem to work very
well. I wonder if anyone has had the same problem and can help with any
advice.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Hope everyone has a great long weekend.

Try enlarging the image so that the pixels are visible then applying
the redeye correction with more precision.

Veena, the first place redeye is taken out is when you import the pictures
(in Elements 4). There is a checkbox. Remember though that once you check
it it stays checked unless you uncheck it. It considerably slows the import
of photos that don't have eyes in them.

The second place is in editor, under enhance, there is a correct redeye
button (control-R). If that doesn't work well enough, then you'll have to
go to the image enlargement, color fix that was previously suggested.

Veena,

You have to use your clone tool to clone the color/texture you want to paint over the red eye area. Use your clone tool, sample the area, and then paint over the red area. You will have to adjust your brush size to do this.

You can also color replace the red using the paint bucket tool or just use a
brush size the same diameter as the red dot or the pupil.
