There are a few more spots left in Ron Roy's Glaze Chemistry workshop this
month (May 20-21) in Atlanta, USA. If anyone is interested, please call
soon (404-377-8033). The workshop will be structured around learning the
basics (limit formulas, glaze conversions, etc.); exploring the different
glaze chem software (Insight, GlazeChem, etc.); and solving specific
problems that workshop participants bring with them... e.g, stable glazes
suddenly pitting, switiching claybodies and getting glazes to fit the new
one, changing firing temperatures and adjusting all the components to the
new temps... the good stuff we all need. Bring recipes, examples of trouble
spots, etc. Ron is also providing his "Clay & Glaze Chemistry workshop
book" to all participants... it's a tremendous resource. And judging by the
last few events, there should be quite a few Clayarters here to meet up
with.
