The folks at Hill Country Arts Foundation in Ingram TX asked me to post a
notice about my two workshops there next month. There's plenty of room left
in both of them so far.
The tile making workshop is May 18-19 and the glaze chemistry class is May
20-21. You get a discount if you take both of them. For more information
on these, go to www.hcaf.com.
Come check out the Hill Country in wildflower season. I hope to see some
Clayart folks there.

Here is unsolicited praise for Paul Lewing's glaze chemistry class. A few
years ago I attended this class, at a time when I thought I already
understood glaze chemistry. It was an excellent 2 days, very well worth
while for me, and I definitely learned quite a lot.

Paul explains things clearly and you don't need an advanced degree in math
to understand what he is saying. Our class ranged from a chemist to newbies,
and everyone walked away thinking they'd gotten more than their money's
worth.

So, if you are anywhere near Ingram, TX, I highly recommend that you GO to
this class!

And if I ever get near a tile making workshop, you bet I'd be the first in
line to attend.

Bonnie, I am so glad to hear your "review". I have signed up for
Paul's workshop on glazes and am really looking forward to it. I
don't know about the wild flowers this year--no rain until very
recently--but the Hill Country is the very best place to be right now!

The article in Clay Times about Sandy Miller's ^6 glaze work has me
really fired up to take off into the world of glaze making and
exploring. Actually Sandy has helped us start a ^6 glaze club here in
San Antonio and we are so grateful for her help.=20

But I want some one to take me by the hand and lead me into (and
through!) the maze of glaze chemistry--and that is what I think Paul
Lewing will do with us at his workshop the latter part of May. He
advertises that it is for beginners as well as advanced glaze makers.

I understand there are still openings in the class and hope other
Texans will be there so we can get a little Texas network going.
Sandy had written about how helpful it was working with Dolita even
though they were separated by many miles.=20

Gay Judson in San Antonio, TX--not too far from Ingram!
