Terri,
05-06 is a good bisque for raku. Your two-tone
color may very well be the result of trimming.
The trimmed lower section may accept more glaze
than the top untrimmed area. You may also see
more pinholes in the trimmed section...use a metal
rib to burnish the trimmed area while the pot is
still on the wheel. This may solve both problems.
Double dipping, or overlapping your glaze will
also create two-tones of color.
