I made this information request a year or two ago and then misplaced a very
informative response from a generous ClayArt member. Sorry about that
mistake--here goes again . . .

I am looking for a good resource for building an outdoor fireplace and pizza
oven. Can anyone direct me to a website or publication???

Thanks for the help.

Hi Brad,

Just a week ago, David Hendley posted this special
Clayart part of his site, which documents his pizza
oven's creation and use!

There is a "Yahoo Groups" for wood fired ovens. I kept up with
it for many years and I'm sure it is probably still going strong.
You can see pictures of my wood fired oven, as well as pictures
of making pizza with Tony Clennell and Tom Wirt, on my Clayart/
pizza oven web page

Hi Brad,

I have a couple of books on the subject.

Adobe Oven for Old World Breads by Charel Scheele
Build Your Own Earth Oven by Kiki Denzer

Best of luck with the project. I hope to get to mine perhaps this summer
if time permits and would love to hear how yours turns out.

Debbie

I found a very simple design that I really like, and it looks like it
would be cheap and easy as well. I'll be building one myself, it's just
a few items down on my todo list for now. Also lots of info on ovens in
general.
