Ron

The recipe is one I saw in May 2000 issue of Ceramics Monthly .

It is as follows:

Chris Wolfs Cream gloss glaze

Gerstly Borate 30
Whiting 10
Custer feldspar 35
Plastic Vitrox 15
Flint 10

RIO 2
Rutile 3

He also has a plum glaze he uses in combination with the cream and I had
planned to give it a try until I couldn't figure out what the PV clay was.

Having the gerstly in there doesn't really bother me as I still have quite a
bit on hand but if you would like to take it out that would be OK also.

I have custer, g-200 and kona f-4 feldspars.

I plan to order some pv clay from Highwater but I wouldn't mind trying the
glaze without it also.

Ron thanks for your help now and in the past.

Hi Gene or is it Latonna?

Here it is with the PV out with the GB.

GB - 30.0
Whiting - 10.0
Custer - 43.0
EPK - 2.0
Silica - 15.0
Total - 100.0
Add iron and rutile.

Here it is subbing 3134 for the GB - as you can see - that is a lot of frit
but the raw clay is way up as well. If you try both and the original please
tell us how they compare.

F3134 - 41.0
Whiting - 7.0
Custer - 23.0
EPK - 15.0
Silica - 9.0
Total - 100.0
Add iron and rutile.

I left out the talc - 5 in the recipe with the frit by the way - always a
good idea to check the addition when a recipe has a total.
