I just wanted to post a long overdue thank you to Vince Pitelka for =
sharing his techniques on how to make terra sigillata. I first stumbled =
across his recipe in 2003, and was so intrigued that I decided to give =
it a try. Thanks to Vince's clear and easy to follow recipe and advice, =
I have been able to make beautiful ancient reproduction pottery for =
Roman reenactors all over the US as well as Minoan and some Greek =
pieces. Please check out my work at:

I too has benefit from you recipe Vince. Originally I used it with the =
clay
you "prescribed" in the recipes. To make it fit on my porcelain clay =
body, I
now use the porcelain powder of the body that I mix. It still works very
well for me. I push the limits sometimes by adding some redart to the
porcelain for color. Thanks.

Do you need sharp trimming tools that will not wear out quickly? Contact =
