Dear Group;

I picked up a bag at the mug exchange and thinking it empty, started to
put it down before being cautioned to not do so......"once you touch
it, it's yours!"

Opened it to find a tiny tiny jug with two tiny handles and glazed
beautifuklly in what looked to my eye like Reitz Green. I held it up
between my fingers for a long while, but perhaps the maker couldn't see
it. It rode home with me in my shirt pocket, and is presently sitting
inside Sam Hoffman's lovely wood fired guinome that he left as a house
gift after our fine luncheon the Sunday before NCECA. Now, I remember a
name on the card that came with my teeny (in size only) gift..........
someone Elwin or something, but the card has disappeared, so will the
maker kindly identify her/him self, so I can further send love and
greetings?

Cheers, Hank

Hi, Hank --

Your tiny jug came from my friend from Rochester, Gayle Erwin, who makes period medieval pots. This was her first NCECA. I've been telling her about the list, and she stopped by to check out the Clayart room. She was so enthusiastic after seeing the room and the Mug Exchange display that she asked if she could participate (since she happened to have the tiny pot with her). Turned out that she later found several Clayarters that she knows from the medieval re-enactment group, and she spent some time with them. So, it was a win/win, I think, and perhaps we have another "budding Clayarter"!
In the meantime, I've forwarded your email to her off-list.
