Giampaolo Bertozzi and Stefano Dal Monte Casoni (Imola, Italy)
(On exhibition at Sperone Westwater, NYC, NY, USA)
http://www.speronewestwater.com/cgi-bin/iowa/artists/record.html?record=117

(Trompe l'oeil ceramics. Technically their work is a "tour de force."
Some will like the "content" while others will not. The subject is the
omnipresent signs of "Decay" in our surroundings. Lots of eggshells
and snails, old cans and the like.)

Bruce Gholson & Samantha Henneke (Bulldog Pottery) (Seagrove, NC, USA)
http://www.bulldogpottery.com/
(The potters use iridescent, molybdenum crystalline glazes. The forms
are unique to each piece, and very interesting visually. The glaze
effects are handled with authority.) (Not only sophisticated for
Seagrove, but sophisticated for anywhere in the USA or Canada.)

Lynn Dee (Lummi Island, WA, USA)
http://www.lynndeestudios.com/
(Dee makes raku pottery vessels patterned with glaze and metallic
oxides brushwork based on the bamboo plant. Originally
representational, over time this imagery has become more abstract.)

Daniel Oberti (Sebastopol, CA, USA)
http://www.danieloberti.com/
(Ceramic Sculptor interested in things astronomical)

Judith McGrath (Kalamunda, near Perth WA, Australia)
http://www.artseeninwa.com/ (Text)
("Art Seen in Western Australia" - J.M.'s compilation of various
reviews of exhibitions in Western Australia from 1998 to the current
month.) (Reviewers include ceramists: Graham Hay and Irene Poulton.)
