Ivor-
When you made a comment on the Alka Seltzer glaze (2/21/06) and said it would be cheaper to buy soda, did you mean Bicarbonate of Soda or Soda Ash?
Just curious to clarify.

Dear Rhonda Kale=20

You ask..."When you made a comment on the Alka Seltzer glaze (2/21/06) =
and said it would be cheaper to buy soda, did you mean Bicarbonate of =
Soda or Soda Ash?
Just curious to clarify."...

For the biggest bang for you buck the answer would have to be anhydrous =
Sodium Carbonate. It contains twice as much sodium as the Bi-carbonate =
so there will be twice the fluxing capacity, Mol for Mol. Do not get =
Crystals of Carbonate, they contain huge amounts of water of =
crystallisation.

Some time since I bought a bag but I recall something like $Au 15.00 for =
a 40 kg bag

Hope that gives clarity !.

Best regards,

Ivor Lewis.
