If you have burnished or used terra sig on

paper clay and anyother kind, once it has been

there is still no difference in theway the clay
"smokes". The paper is long gone.

I wonder if it is possible to get a good tight burnish on
paper clay ... when the paper burns out, wouldn't it leave
small pits in the surface?

These small gaps would then take the smoke better??

Don't know for sure, but am wondering.

There is no visible or tactile difference in the surface
of paper or non-paper clay treated in these ways.
In my experience. I make my own paper clay, but
doubt it is substantially different from commercial ones.
When you burnish, any little paper "hairs" disappear.
Terra sig - the same. Give it a try, you will see.

hive been using paper clay for a few years but i find that the fine
paper fibers interfere with burnishing, may be i am doing it wrong.
