Thank you Cheryl for the plug for The Basic Internet Glaze Course. In =
the Archives, April 2005.

As to orange, yellow glazes. Several ways to go. Use a slip more or =
less rich in Praseodymium, with or without rutile added. Use a slip =
rich in rutile with or without P added. (You did not think I would type =
THAT out again, now did ya?)
Over that slip use a transparent glaze or a semi-trans also colored with =
see above. Use a stain in your slip, or in your glaze. Use a fully =
opaque glaze colored with stain. Or--and here it can get exciting--use =
a slightly tinted slip under a trans. glaze gussied up with iron. Use a =
slip with some iron the same way. What you, essentially, want to do, is =
play around with P, rutile, iron, and stains....

For pity's sake! I do not need a person to turn my wheel, no matter how =
well intentioned! What I need is a person to clean the house, do the =
wash, and cook dinner, WHILE I TURN THE WHEEL.
