Here's a note about the new Beatrice Wood Center for the Arts...

The Inaugural Presentation of the Beatrice Wood Ceramic Annual will
open on February 11th and continue through March 25th at the Beatrice
Wood Center for the Arts in Ojai, California. The exhibition is a
showcase for the finest contemporary ceramic art and celebrates
Beatrice Wood's spirit of experimentation, self-expression and
originality.
There will be an Opening Reception on Saturday, February 11th from
12:00 - 4:00 pm. The public is invited to attend. For those unable to
experience the exhibiiton in person, it will be presented on the
Center's website at:

The exhibition features work by Julie Bagish, Susan Beiner, Luis
Bermudez, Patrick Crabb, Angela DeMott, Keiko Fukazawa, John Hopkins,
Stephen L. Horn, Stan Hunter, Jeff Irwin, Jim Keville, Karen Koblitz,
Ricky Maldonado, Tom McMillin, Neil Moss, Kevin A. Myers, Kevin X.
Nguyen, Carla Potter, Porntip Sangvanich, Scott & Naomi Schoenerr,
Carol Sils, Linda Smith, Vincent Suez, Sheryl Ann Thomas, Chris Turk,
Kathleen Waggoner, Nina de Creeft Ward and Fred Yokel.

The recently opened Beatrice Wood Center for the Arts is housed in
the Happy Valley homes once occupied by Beatrice Wood and her good
friend Rosalind Rajagopal. Aside from exhibitions of contemporary
art, the Center features a permanent installation sharing Beatrice
Wood's life story with memorabilia, her collection of folk art and
wonderful examples of her ceramic art.
