wobble fix ?

If your wheel is on three legs, then it shouldn't be rocking when you throw. That said, if it is slightly off level shouldn't make a difference. Tilt doesn't translate (necessarily) into wobble. A significant slant might create some problems, but for me I would suspect that the slant would have to be significant.

Subject: Wobble fix ?

I think I finally figured it out - I used a bubble level to Level the wheel head on my wheel using shims under the legs (the basement floor is not level) and got much bettter results.
Since I/we are sitting stationary and trying too be "steady" the wheel (not being level) was making the pieces on my wheel "wobble" a bit.
Was it just me getting better at throwing or was it all due to the wheel head not being level??? What say you experts???

Note: her wheel head was level but she is a much better wheel "thrower" too...

My wife and I have our own Wheel in the basment of our house. We have had them for several years. Both are supported by a brick under each leg to raise it up higher (we are both tall folks). On her wheel she never had a problem with wobbling pots (She never used my wheel). But on my wheel, I would always have problems with "wobble". I tried her wheel recently and had no problem at all. Pots and so on came out great.
