Hi Group,

I wanted to send my thanks to Cindy Gatto and Mark Petrin and share my
results with the "Best Floating Blue" glaze recipe they were kind enough to
share with the group a few weeks ago. I understand it was a glaze Ron Roy
formulated some time ago, so kudos to Ron on his work with it. Once I found the
elusive frit 3278, I was anxious to test it and it was everything Cindy and Mark
had said it was. In appearance it was very close to the original GB based
version and was extremely well behaved on my test piece. I never had much luck
with the GB version so this one is great. Thanks again for resurrecting the
recipe Cindy and Mark.

On a side note I talked to the Folks at Bennett's Pottery Supply in
Ocoee, Florida. I asked about the frit 3278. They said if they got enough
requests for it, they would carry it. They will special order it though even in
quantities less than 50 pounds. There is a $3.50 surcharge for quantities less
than a full bag.

Sincerely,
Gary Finfrock
