Kathi is correct. Document. Challenge UPS on every extra charge. Your
personal dimensional markings shows up well on a new box and the shipping
form.
UPS will no doubt will try stick you every chance they get. Follow
directions and check your figures.
Like before, opening my boxes and telling me that there was not enough
cushioning material inside. Then craming paper, forcing it closed and trying
to charge me $3 for the wad of paper. Waiting until they get it taped then
asking them to take it back out, "Wait! I have extra paper in the truck!"
Just to play at their games. Holding up the line was costing them $3. You
ship enough times and you learn what to expect.
