stilting a glazed egg at cone 10?

I stilted almost everything in my cone 10 kilns for years. Used star
stilts, the ones with porcelain points, NOT WIRE STILTS.

When new and very pointy they did a great job, messier when they got dull.

This was with stoneware. Don't remember trying it with porcelain.

If I was trying to do an egg shape in a cone 10 kiln with glaze all
over I would use brand new star stilts and stilt it on a broad side
rather than top or bottom so it would stay securely on the stilt.
But I would know already that they clay would take it and not do any
slumping.
