Hi Paula,
I wasn't going to say anything, esp. since I know very little about L&L. The main reason I bought an Olympic (13 cf, gas, toploading) was because it was the only one within any reach budget wise. Yes, i will buy a kiln (prb electric) that has a reputation I am looking for. But for very little money, a little over 1/3rd of what I had to spend for something similar in size, this was my best bet. I simply didn't have a $3000-$4000 option.
So i'll start saving and down the road i will have a gas and an electric kiln. For now I really like mine. i am very careful (fell in only once) and intend to have this one last. Good luck!
Marianne
