I have a recipe that calls for a Ferro frit 4508. And when I have =
looked for it in my local supplier and on the net, no one seems to offer =
it. Most frits offered are only in their 30's (wish I could say the =
same). Do any of you know where I can locate it or what I can sub for =
it.
The recipe is for a clear matt cone 4-7

Ferro frit 4508 ...50%
Potash feldspar...20%
Ball clay...20% =20
mag carb...10%=20

I need a Zink-less clear.
Thanks Nancy

It is a med. soft borax frit. Back in 2001 or so it changed numbers to 4108=
.
I am not sure what it is now.
