I have been planning a testing blitz to try and find a faux celadon
from one of the MC6 base glazes. I was going to start with the clear
liner. Do you think it is the case that GB 1 is a better place to
start?

And if you're in the mood of speculating, what colorants might be a
good starting point? I was going to start with around 0.5% CuO, does
that sound about right?

Hi mark,

I have always thought that the Spearmint was as close to a celadon as I
have seen at cone 6 oxidation - particularly the way the slip shows through
as lighter - one of the most attractive qualities of a celadon glaze.

I think the slow cooling is probably an important aspect of why that glaze
looks like that - certainly one good place to start your experiments.
