i have tried to make the switch to a more dramatic ala sheila
handle for my teapots.

had three (early shoppers you know, the days before a show.)customers this
week, all wanted teapots, and they
wanted me to take off the `grass` and put on a reed handle made
by the neddleships in england. and guess what?
i am short of handles...did not order them as i was using the
`grass and stick method`.

now.
had to go into the house...take some off some handles/pots i have been
saving. some of our own teapots.

so aerni was complaining about a gallery wanting his `old/new stuff`.
same for me. `hey mel, we like the old handles, not that grass stuff.`
gd it..try and join the modern world...copy the clennells and what
does it get? complaints.

well tony, i will keep on trying...try to educate.
and richard...i got the same stuff shoved in my face this week
by really good customers..those that i let in the door early.
but, what is a guy suppose to do.?
tell them to get out of the studio? no no no...be nice.
smile and say...hmmm, think i have one in the house just for you.

also.
i guess the grape vine has it that cane craft is not doing so well.
they want to sell the business. move on. that may be just old grapes
on the vine...east anglia is a long way from minnetonka.
mel
i wonder if they may sue sheila for making their business in reed
handles fall by 60 percent? hmmm do i hear a barrister?
