Dear Linda;

I have no idea how you were assigned to this task, but assume it has
something to do with Primalmommy and her love of ritual. One thing I do
know, is that if you are out shopping for boas on Sunday, you won't be
at the pre-conference workshop/party in Eugene with Tom Rohr and the
Four Visitors. On the unlikely chance that the occasion has slipped
your mind, here is the link:

And I hasten to remind you that there is a Joanne's fabric store in
Eugene that likely has the makings for boas.

Great idea, Linda. Do you have the instructions for them or does Jo-Ann's fabric carry them?

Thanks

Subject: Red Boas for NCECA??

So I have a note on my calendar for the Sunday before NCECA. It says to buy a red boa for NCECA. Can anyone tell me why I'm supposed to do that?

I think I have that syndrome, what-dyacallit.

Anyway, for those of you who are also tasked with getting a red boa for NCECA, and who have the inclination, Jo-Ann's fabric stores has Bernat Feather Boa Yarn (!) on sale for $2.99 a skein. I'll be knitting a couple while watching the boob tube this winter. It won't be as deluxe as the one I could get in the Castro in San Francisco, but it'll be cheaper.

Omidgod! I'd forgotten to put the Pre-NCECA conference on my calendar. Thanks Hank.

That has been corrected and anyway, I already have the feather boa yarn and will start knitting one soon.

Our dear Wayne is in charge of the feather boa requirement and determines
the color from year to year. I thought it was going to be purple in '06,
but the mind, as well as many other extremities, seems to be failing me
right now.
Wayne, the feather boa master, set us straight.

I believe you are correct Dolita; purple was the color that was discussed
this year for 2006. The red boa would be just a smidge too 'red hat
society' for moi; I'm not that old yet, although nobody will know when I AM
that old, since I already wear purple anyhoo.
